Grade 43 (ASTM Spec A413) - 3:1 Design Factor, High Test, Carbon Steel chain found in Agriculture, Construction, Logging, Towing and other industrial applications; not for overhead lifting.

Grade 63 (ASTM Spec A413) - 4:1 Design Factor, Alloy chain, heat treated and used by steel manufacturers; recommended for overhead lifting.

Grade 70 (ASTM Spec A413) - 4:1 Design Factor, Transport, Higher Strength Carbon Steel Chain that is heat treated and used for load securement, lashing and trawling; not for overhead lifting.

Grade 80 (ASTM Spec A391) - 4:1 Design Factor, Alloy chain, heat treated and primarily used in overhead chain lifting slings but is also used as a lighter weight, high strength tie down or rigging chain; recommended for overhead lifting by NACM, OSHA and ASME.

Grade 100 (ASTM Spec A973) - 4:1 Design Factor, Alloy chain, 25% higher strength per size than Grade 80 Alloy chain.  Primary use is overhead lifting chain; recommended for overhead lifting by NACM, OSHA and ASME.

Grade 120 (ASTM Spec A413) 4:1 Design Factor, Alloy chain, 50% higher strength per size than Grade 80 Alloy chain. According to the manufacturer, its unique profile increases strength, abrasion resistance and bending at a lower weight. 6:1 design factor with the same size and workload as G80's 4:1 design factor. Recommended by the Manufacturer for overhead lifting in rough industrial conditions.
