2" x 56" Tow V-Bridle with Twisted Snap Hooks & D-Rings — 3,333 lb WLL, 9 DiamondWeave™ Colors
The GO-TOW.COM 2" x 56" Tow V-Bridle uses twisted snap hooks and integrated D-rings to create the V-pattern attachment — a different hardware approach than RTJ cluster hooks, suited to vehicle frame points and recovery anchor positions where a snap hook seats faster or more securely than a J-style fitting. At 56 inches of total strap length and rated at 3,333 lbs Working Load Limit, this bridle reaches attachment points with adequate working length under the vehicle.
A Cordura sleeve protects the webbing at the highest-friction attachment zones. DiamondWeave™ webbing (US Patent #8,136,555) handles the rest — its cross-diagonal weave distributes abrasive stress evenly across the webbing face rather than concentrating it at contact edges. Available in 9 colors for fleet position tracking and driver accountability.

Why Twisted Snap Hooks + D-Rings
The twisted snap hook and D-ring combination gives this V-Bridle a different set of use cases than the RTJ cluster hook models:
- Twisted snap hooks — the 90-degree twist positions the hook gate perpendicular to the strap pull direction, which reduces the chance of accidental release and allows the hook to rotate to the natural angle of the attachment point without load bias
- Four D-rings — provide multiple anchor and loop options at the vehicle frame side, adapting the same strap to different frame configurations without needing a separate strap per vehicle type
- 56-inch length — the longer overall reach accommodates vehicles where the frame anchor point is further from the trailer's rail attachment point, reducing the need for extension hardware
The Cordura Sleeve's Role
The Cordura sleeve covers the webbing at the hook-to-strap transition zone — the point where load forces bend the strap sharply around the hook base. This is the wear zone that fails first on unprotected straps. The Cordura sleeve absorbs the surface abrasion before it reaches the load-bearing DiamondWeave™ webbing beneath it, extending the operational service life of the strap in daily use.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a twisted snap hook and why is it used on a V-Bridle?
A twisted snap hook has a 90-degree twist between the hook body and the strap connection point. This positions the gate perpendicular to the primary load direction, reducing the risk of gate contact with the attachment point under load. It also lets the hook rotate to align naturally with its anchor point rather than being held at an angle that creates side-loading. The result is a more secure seat at the attachment point and less stress on the gate mechanism over time.
What are the four D-rings used for?
The four D-rings are the vehicle-side attachment hardware on this V-Bridle. They provide multiple anchor and pass-through options at the frame attachment point, giving this strap more versatility across different vehicle frame configurations compared to a single hook style. They also allow you to loop or wrap the strap around a frame rail in situations where a direct hook attachment isn't accessible. Contact us at Sales@GO-TOW.COM if you want to confirm fit for a specific application.
Why does this V-Bridle have a lower WLL than the 3" and 4" models?
WLL reflects the combination of strap width, webbing grade, and hardware rating. At 2-inch width, the strap's 3,333 lbs WLL is appropriate for standard passenger car transport on open carriers — a typical vehicle of 3,000 to 5,000 lbs is secured with four V-Bridles, producing a total system WLL well above the vehicle weight. For heavier vehicles or contracts requiring higher per-strap WLL, the 3" (5,400 lbs) or 4" (5,400 lbs) V-Bridle models are the right choice.
How many straps do I need per vehicle?
Four is the commercial standard — one per corner of the vehicle (front-left, front-right, rear-left, rear-right frame attachment points). The four-point V-Bridle configuration prevents longitudinal and lateral movement through the full range of braking, acceleration, and cornering forces encountered in road transport.
Which color should I order?
Any DiamondWeave™ color performs identically — the choice is a fleet management decision, not a performance one. Common practices: Hi-Viz Green for easy visual confirmation that all four straps are deployed before moving, specific colors by trailer position (front = one color, rear = another), or rotating colors by purchase date to track service life. With 9 colors available, you have enough range to run a complete fleet color-coding system from a single product line.
