This ratchet is designed for operators who run loaded car haulers in variable conditions. The soft rubber ergonomic grip provides a secure handle surface when working with gloves or in wet weather — conditions where a bare aluminum bar offers less control. The 4,400 lb. Working Load Limit (WLL) is above the 3,333 lb. WLL common to many 2-inch ratchets, providing additional rated capacity within a 2-inch strap assembly when all other system components support it.
The double-locking handle mechanism provides a secondary handle-retention feature beyond the standard pawl. The handle is designed to remain in the closed position during transport, reducing the chance of inadvertent opening from vibration or contact.

What strap width does this ratchet accept?
This ratchet is designed for 2-inch webbing. It is not designed for use with 1-inch or 4-inch webbing. Confirm that the webbing you intend to use matches the ratchet's slot dimensions and that all components in the assembly are compatible before use.
What does "double-locking" mean on this ratchet?
A double-locking ratchet has a secondary latch that holds the ratchet handle in the closed position in addition to the standard pawl that maintains strap tension. This provides an additional handle-retention feature designed to help keep the handle from opening from vibration or contact during transport. Confirm the ratchet is properly set and the secondary lock is engaged before each use.
How do I choose the correct Working Load Limit (WLL) for my application?
Select a ratchet whose marked WLL is appropriate for the complete tie-down assembly and the intended application. The usable rating of a securement system is limited by its lowest-rated component — including webbing, end fittings, and anchor points. A higher ratchet WLL does not by itself change the aggregate rating of the complete securement system. Follow manufacturer instructions and applicable cargo-securement requirements.
Can the webbing be replaced separately from the ratchet hardware?
The ratchet hardware and the webbing strap are separate components. If the webbing becomes damaged, it is generally replaced independently from the ratchet hardware — provided the hardware passes inspection. Consult the manufacturer's documentation before modifying, repairing, or rewebbing any assembly. Inspect ratchet hardware for cracks, distortion, corrosion, bent side plates, and pawl and spring condition; remove from service if any damage is found.
