2" 3-Ply Axle Straps with D-Rings — 4 Pack | Length Options
Axle straps are the go-to tie-down method when over-wheel straps cannot reach the wheel — low-clearance vehicles, damaged or aftermarket rims, and rollback decks without wheel wells all call for an axle-contact approach. This 4-pack of 2" 3-ply D-ring axle straps is designed for those applications. Three layers of premium PVC webbing add material at the strap body for demanding axle-contact duty. The double D-ring end fittings are designed for use with compatible 2-inch auto-hauling ratchet assemblies and properly rated anchor points.
Why 3-ply construction? Axle straps flex directly over a metal contact point where a single-ply strap faces its highest abrasion risk. Three-ply construction adds material at that wear zone. Some operators prefer heavier webbing construction for repeated axle-contact use.

What's the difference between D-rings, delta rings, and grab plates (A-plates)?
Verify fitting type compatibility with your ratchet hooks and deck hardware before ordering. Confirm that the hardware geometry, track or hook dimensions, and rated capacity are compatible with all other components in your securement assembly.
How do I select the right axle-strap length?
Measure the intended routing path from your ratchet hook attachment point, around the approved tie-down location on the vehicle, and back to the hook. Allow enough length for correct routing and proper ratchet engagement without the webbing being pulled taut at the end fitting. When in doubt, size up — a strap that is slightly longer than needed routes more cleanly than one that is too short. We carry five lengths from 20" to 48" to accommodate different axle geometries and deck configurations.
What should I inspect before using an axle strap?
Before each use, inspect webbing for cuts, fraying, abrasion, chemical or heat damage, and missing or unreadable identification labels. Check end fittings for distortion, cracks, or corrosion. Inspect stitching for damage or separation. Remove any strap from service that shows damage or whose label cannot be read, and replace it according to the manufacturer's guidance.
What's the difference between 2-ply and 3-ply axle straps?
Both constructions are designed for axle-contact applications. The difference is the number of webbing layers at the strap body. A 3-ply strap adds material at the zone that flexes over the metal contact point. Sleeved (2-ply) variants protect the webbing with a full-length sleeve rather than additional ply construction. Select based on your preferred protection method and fleet replacement schedule.
