A narrow wire hook is formed from a single piece of wire or rod bent into a hook shape, with a narrow throat width that fits through tighter anchor point slots and over thinner tie-down rails. A flat hook (also known as a flat snap hook) is stamped from flat steel sheet and has a broader, flatter profile. Both are sew-on hooks, but the wire profile is preferred where space is tight at the anchor interface or where a lower-profile connection is needed.
