What is aramid fiber (Kevlar®) webbing used for?
Aramid fiber webbing is chosen for strap and tie-down applications that see extreme heat, repeated abrasion, or both: barrel heater straps, MOLLE/PALS gear, oilfield rigging, and heavy-use straps that would wear through standard polyester webbing.
How does DuPont™ Kevlar® webbing hold up to heat?
DuPont™ Kevlar® does not melt. It decomposes above 800°F, though strength can diminish with prolonged exposure over 350°F. It performs across a -300°F to +300°F range. The Otex fact sheet for this webbing lists passing results for flame resistance (ASTM D6413) and heat resistance (ASTM F2894).
Is this webbing sold as finished straps or by the foot?

Is tensile breaking strength the same as a working load limit?
