Checkpoint Loose Wheel Nut Indicators, 33mm, Torque Check — Yellow or Red
A loose wheel nut indicator gives drivers and inspectors an instant visual check on wheel-end fasteners. If a lug nut moves, the indicator no longer points at its mate, and per TIA and TMC recommended practices the nut and stud should be inspected.
Use all one color on a wheel. When a nut is tightened, replace its indicator with a different color so the recently tightened nut is easy to spot.

Why are there two colors?
Using one color on a wheel and a different color on a nut you have just tightened makes the tightened nut easy to see during inspection.
Can an indicator show heat as well as a loose nut?
Yes. These indicators are designed to melt at 125°C (257°F), which can be an early sign of excess heat at the wheel end. For hotter applications see the high heat 33mm indicator.
